Have you ever looked in the mirror and stared back at a face you can barely recognize? Then you ask yourself this question, "Who am I, really?" Stained with scurrilities, addictions, negative influences; running away from truth, and purpose. The art of losing yourself, how easy it really is. We would not know who we are, what our purpose is in life, if we do not know the intentions of our Creator.

This week, a girl called Rachel sang and played the piano for us at assembly. She is only 12, and she was born blind. Yet, she manages to sing with joy and owes all she is to God. I find that amazing, seeing how we usually get so caught up in our everyday activities we forget to appreciate the beauty life offers. I was very touched at how Rachel loves God with all her heart and she even said, "Even though the kids at school do not play with me, I am still a very happy girl because God loves me. Darkness surrounds me, but I see angels guarding me." I find those words very encouraging. While listening to her songs, I realized that only when we are weak, we learn how to rely on God for strength, and to trust Him and have faith. That is why, we should not be discouraged or beaten when trials and tribulations come our way, because only when we are weak, then we are strong.
